Royal Enfield has unveiled the highly anticipated Guerrilla 450, launching the motorcycle simultaneously in the European and Indian markets.
The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 will be available in three variants: Analogue, Dash, and Flash. The base Analogue variant is priced at INR 2.39 lakh, the mid-tier Dash costs INR 2.49 lakh, and the top-end Flash variant is priced at INR 2.54 lakh.
Powering the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 is the same liquid-cooled, 452cc, ‘Sherpa 450’ engine from the Himalayan 450 with identical figures, 40hp at 8,000rpm and 40Nm at 5,500rpm, however, Royal Enfield says that the tuning and gearing is to suit the character of the Guerrilla. The engine is paired to a 6-speed gearbox and it also gets a slip and assist clutch.
The base Analogue variant features a digi-analogue display similar to the Super Meteor 650, with an additional Tripper navigation pod. The higher variants come with a TFT dash, the same as the Himalayan, and include all the connectivity features seen on Royal Enfield’s adventure bikes. The motorcycle offers two ride modes — Performance and Eco — and incorporates ride-by-wire technology.
The Guerrilla 450 boasts Royal Enfield’s signature modern-retro aesthetic, featuring a round LED headlight, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, 17-inch alloy wheels, and a sleek tail section.
Built on a steel twin-spar tubular frame similar to the Himalayan 450, the Guerrilla 450 has a wheelbase of 1,440 mm, making it 70 mm shorter. Its dimensions are 2,090 mm in length (155 mm shorter), 833 mm in width (33 mm narrower), and 1,125 mm in height. As a roadster, it offers an accessible seat height of 780 mm.
Weighing 185 kg, the Guerrilla 450 is equipped with 43 mm telescopic front forks with 140 mm travel and a rear mono-shock with 150 mm travel. For braking, it features a 310 mm front ventilated disc brake and a 270 mm rear disc, both with dual-channel ABS.
